Art Prize - World's Largest Art Prize
Art Prize is called the World's Largest Art Prize. It is an open competition for artist from around the world, which takes place in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. The prize pool is about 449,000 dollars, and is awarded to the top ten artist (first prize of 250.000).
Every artist willing to participate in the contest has to make an agreement with a gallery offering space for artworks in the center of Grand Rapids. Prizes awarded for ten artist are based on a public vote, what means that everyone staying or visiting Grand Rapids at the time of exhibition can vote for chosen artists. In addition, a professional jury will award prizes in four categories - 2D, 3D, Time-Based, Urban Space, whose value will be announced at a later date.
Art Prize will be held from 22nd September to 10th October 2010.
